We’ve been working with Facebook to support the IPC’s #WeThe15 campaign around the world with some truly remarkable stories …

We’ve been working with Facebook around their support of the International Paralympic Committee’s #WeThe15 campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the 15% of the global population that lives with a disability.

Working with Facebook and TCOLondon, we produced and launched a documentary-style film series which explores four disabled communities around the world and looks at how sport has created a positive change for these communities.

The series features stories from the US, UK, Brazil and New Zealand and shines a spotlight on the power of connections and what people can achieve together.

For example, in Brazil we visited the Associação Bola pra Frente Esportes Adaptados, a community-run football team in Sao Paulo for players with disabilities, with a focus on amputees, whilst in the UK, we visited The Derby Wheelblazers, a competitive wheelchair basketball team with a big role in the local community,

The impactful series of content tells powerful stories of how people with disabilities have used sport to help their local communities progress in the region, consequently amplifying the IPC’s  #WeThe15 campaign whilst showing Facebook’s commitment to supporting marginalised communities.

The content received over 10 million views in just over a week, with global, national and regional coverage also driving exposure to a global audience.
