November will see the nation celebrate Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s Platinum wedding anniversary – an incredible moment, marking 60 years of the royal marriage.
To mark the occasion, The Royal Mint created a stunning commemorative coin, the first to include two heads on one face.
Ahead of the launch on The Royal Mint website, the team placed an exclusive feature with Sunday Express, who were given the opportunity to interview another British couple who are also celebrating their platinum anniversary this year – with The Royal Mint featured large in the story as the couple were gifted a coin to mark the moment.
The team also announced the coin as news to the media in time for the coin going on sale … and (as ever), it proved to be a popular story.
