The Maker’s Mark team has been taking a stand against fast-fashion this Christmas with award-winning circular designer Phoebe English.
In a bid to challenge the £140 million worth of clothing destined to landfill every year in the UK, we helped B Corporation distillery, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, tell their sustainability story and challenge the impact of single-use outfits by showcasing the possibilities of repurposing existing materials rather than buying new.
Unveiling the (Re)Made to Party Boutique and Bar in East London’s vibey Shoreditch, we created a complete destination for circular fashion fans and cocktail lovers alike.
Equipped with onsite tailors for repairing and repurposing old clothes brought in by visitors, the Boutique also offered the opportunity to shop the (Re)Made to Party capsule collection, a 100% upcycled 8 piece clothing series designed by Phoebe English studio in collaboration with Maker’s Mark.
Complete with a clothing donation point in partnership with Love Not Landfill, a non-profit campaign to encourage fast fashion fans to buy second-hand, the (Re)Made to Party Boutique and Bar aimed to inspire a more conscious and less wasteful approach to style this festive party season.
Engaging seven circular-fashion influencers that authentically believed in the collaboration to create content of the boutique and collection was key to landing the Maker’s Mark message amongst the eco-conscious consumer and drive the conversation on the impact of fast-fashion on the environment.
A huge team effort landed Maker’s Mark in front of new audiences across some incredible top-level culture and fashion titles from Culted and HUNGER to WWD, Marie Claire and Stylist.
We’ll continue making Bourbon whiskey fashionable … sustainably.
