Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) has been all over the culture media with two pieces of highly classy content made for Rimowa and (for me) a much more exciting one with New Balance featuring Arsenal/England legend Bukayo Saka.
The short video of Saka, dressed in ALD’s eye wateringly expensive Boucle Suit doing keepy-uppies to some jazz drumming is an extremely classy touch and definitely stands out when compared to the other partnerships Saka has appeared in recently with big campaigns live for Nando’s, Snickers, Persil as well as fashion work for Burberry and Prada.
ALD’s founder and creative director, Teddy Santis, has a knack for capturing the essence of his collaborators and weaving it into the brand’s aesthetic.
Saka has been wearing the boots during the Euros but due to the abysmal form of the entire team their starring role has been limited to catching Slovenian Andraz Sporar in the face with an attempted bicycle kick. Lets hope we see more from them in the semis.
