“Bad Dad” Brian Cox follows in the footsteps of a host of great actors to re-cap the Tekken 8 plotline

There have been a fair few gaming-meets-serious acting crossovers over the years.

Who can forget the Chuckle Brothers taking on Hitman, after all? Two heroes of stagecraft ordering a hired assassin around was pure theatre.

World of Warcraft recruited a stellar line-up that included that icon of stage and screen, Mr. T. It’s probably worth noting that they also enlisted the services of Chuck Norris, Aubrey Plaza, Verne Troyer, and William Shatner.

So we have to tip our hats and doff our caps and say fair play to whoever at Bandai Namco convinced Brain Cox to narrate this five-minute rundown of one of gaming’s most convoluted stories.

Getting the actor who played TV’s worst dad to recap the sins of two of gaming’s worst dads is an inspired bit of casting. As Tekken 8 launches, it’s a fun way to learn about the thirty years of story the series covers in a five-minute chunk.

As for who takes the overall bad dad title – Logan never threw Kendell off a cliff into a volcano.
