Car buying tends to dip in the run up to Christmas. Which is why we were tasked to give the public a reason to head over to Autotrader during festive season (and all while landing a message about the breadth of platform’s offer beyond cars).
Naturally, it being the season of good will, we listed the iconic piece of TV history “Dave’s Coaches” from Gavin & Stacey for a suitably iconic price of £200,000.
Helping us drive those bids – and traffic to Autotrader (views are up 219% week-on-week) have been our pals in the media.
The story has already landed pieces across BBC, BBC Wales and ITV Wales broadcast, a cracking piece on Good Morning Britain, Daily Mail, LadBible, The Sun, Independent and a host of others besides.
We even made the Barry & District News (well, it’d have been embarrassing if we hadn’t really, wouldn’t it?).
As Pam-la (well, strictly speaking Alison Steadman) said on the GMB sofa when asked what she thought about it being up for sale … “Oh My Christ. That’s amazing”.
With a few bids on the coach already tabled, but the asking price not quite met, we’re still open to bidders.
