We’ve been celebrating fifty years of Argos and making sure the story hit the media in style

Fifty years of Argos, fifty years of toys, fifty years of play.

To celebrate Argos turning fifty years old we wanted to tap into a range the brand is famous for – its toy range – and into a national sense of nostalgia at the same time.

That’s how we found ourselves teaming up with Mcfly drummer Harry Judd and Lionness Demi Stokes to help ignite the passion of play in children once more. What do the two of them have in common? They both had toys in their childhoods that led to them embracing a career and passion in later life.

That’s how it transpired that Harry told BBC stations about his passions as a child turning into his passion as an adult. And Demi visited her old stomping ground to giveaway football kit. We even roped-in Dr Elizabeth to give her tips for embracing play time.  

With over 250 pieces to date, top hits included pieces across the iPaper, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, Independent, Evening Standard … and many, many more.
