Dreams can come true as we’ve announced what is quite possibly the best job in the world this week: IKEA is on the lookout for a Chief Play Officer.

The people at IKEA take play very seriously and like to encourage as much fun and creativity in the home as possible, which is why we had lots of fun with them last week announcing that they’ve decided to recruit a Chief Play Officer (sorry parents, no adults allowed).

Whilst it might sound like all fun and games, with great power comes great responsibility, as the successful candidate will test all new IKEA toys before they launch in the UK.

Unsurprisingly, since announcing the news IKEA has been flooded with fantastic applications from kids across the country, all of whom are very qualified to fill the incredibly important role.

What’s more, media loved the news. To date over 60 pieces of coverage have appeared, including standout articles on MailOnline, Metro and The Sun.

A lovely and fun piece of news to end the year on.
