After spending months cooped up inside, it’s not surprising that people are sick of their current homes and are keen to move.
The Barclays Mortgages team shed light on this by conducting research revealing that those in the UK’s biggest cities are looking to escape to the country, with the South West being the most popular hotspot, and wanting a green space being the most popular reason why.
Working with Dr Peter Brooks, Chief Behavioural Scientist at Barclays, the team worked this up into a news story and secured over 100 pieces of coverage on a whole host of national, regional, trade, online and broadcast titles. Dr Peter also took part in a broadcast day, sharing his insights as to where people want to move and their reasons why.
We kicked off the day right, landing the lead story on the Mail Online, followed by a hit on PA. The coverage kept coming as we secured a feature on BBC News, Mail Online (again), Metro, ITV and This is Money. We also featured in 45 radio stations after a successful broadcast day, to say the least.
