A rock solid Christmas performance from the Sony team has meant that the electronics giant has been seen everywhere over the festive season …

Whilst we love creating weird and wonderful campaigns for our clients, we never under estimate the importance of a solid, hardworking press office at Hope&Glory.

An example of this is the Sony press office who manage over 1,000 product rotations a year and do a stunning job on product placement, particularly around season gift guides.

This Christmas was no exception, with the team running a festive media event to showcase the Sony Audio range, which was attended by over 70 national, consumer lifestyle and technology media ranging from the Daily Telegraph, to Heat, to Shortlist.

The event was followed by a solid month of the team hitting the phones hard to make sure Sony was front of mind for all key media looking after Christmas gift guides this year and the results have certainly paid off.

We totalled 128 pieces of coverage across Sony’s Digital Imaging, Home Entertainment and Audio range, with Audio securing 78 pieces of coverage alone.

Almost every national newspaper featured Sony in their gift guides this year including The Times, Mail Online, Daily Telegraph, City AM, The Guardian, i, The Sun and Daily Mirror.

We didn’t fair too badly with lifestyle and consumer technology media either, with coverage in GQ, ,Glamour, Women & Home, Stuff, T3, Coach, Shortlist, Stylist, Now, HouseBeautiful, Askmen, Hello!, Look, Cosmopolitan, Press Association and Heat.

Overall, a fantastic job done getting share of voice in a very crowded space that was all down to persistence, solid media relations from the team and support from a great client.
