We’ve been out and about making sure that Airbnb stays front-of-mind with a cheeky newsjack courtesy of the return of Villanelle

As folk who follow our work will be aware, we’ve been helping Airbnb keep themselves front-and-centre in the news during lockdown with gems including the discovery of Normal People’s Italian Villa on the site.

And, speaking of jumping on the back of the TV that people are talking about, Killing Eveโ€™s Villanelle (there’s a pun there, but it’s a really lazy one so let’s overlook it, shall we?) is also a character who has always picked herself some luxurious digs.

So it was that, as the third season of the hit BBC series sees the glamorous assassin inhabit a spacious flat in Barcelona which quickly captured viewersโ€™ imaginations.

And in yet another deft bit of newsjacking, the Airbnb team revealed that the Art Nouveau apartment is available to rentย on the platform.

Located in the stylish area of Gracia, the apartment boasts a reception hall, studio, dining and living room, glass gallery, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, as well as access to a private pool. The luxurious space is nothing short of what you would expect from everybodyโ€™s favourite onscreen killer.

As it turned out, the story was a perfect piece of travel wanderlust for the nation, and secured some standout pieces of coverage Evening Standardย and Daily Star, alongside a host of consumer lifestyle pieces across the likes of ELLE, TimeOut, Good Housekeeping, Red and Harpers Bazaar.

Another cracker from the team. Living the lockdown dream …
