We’ve been helping Airbnb to launch its first ever UK Insights Report.
The report has taken an in-depth look at how the platform has grown since July 2016 – and also at the positive economic impact it’s had on communities across the UK, as well as on the nation as a whole of course.
The report revealed that the UK has continued to thrive as a destination on Airbnb in the past twelve months, with inbound guest growth of 81%, generating an estimated £3.46 billion in economic activity for local communities across the country.
Media leapt at the opportunity to get their teeth into the stats, with a cracking 95 pieces of coverage landing for the report – and we’re still counting.
It made a pretty much clean sweep of the nationals, with pieces from Evening Standard, Independent,Daily Mail, The Sun, The Times, Metro, The I, Daily Star and City A.M.
And then there’ve been heaps of regional pieces to add to that as we got in touch with every key regional title in the UK, offering them tailored press releases with stats for their region leading to some lovely regional hits, with standout coverage from Scottish media in The Scotsmanand The Herald amongst oh so many others.
