We’ve been helping “The Fresh Prince” rent out his royal abode on Airbnb so that everyone can say “yo, home to Bel-Air”

This week was another nostalgic throwback for the Airbnb team, as Will Smith became the latest host to join the platform.

“The Fresh Prince” himself announced that the doors of his former kingdom were to be offered to guests for a limited time at just $30 a night to mark 30 years since The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air first hitting our screens.

Guests could book a stay in Will’s decked-out wing of the infamous mansion, filled with bold graffiti art and timeless family portraits.

What’s more, they’ll be treated to Philly cheesesteaks served on silver platters and could even try on custom pairs of Nike Air Jordans.

Alongside, DJ Jazzy Jeff is set to host his own Airbnb Online Experience, where he’ll be teaching guests how to spin and scratch like a hip-hop legend. Guests will also get to spend some time with him in his home studio, (virtually, of course) and spin some vinyl together in honour of the good ‘ole days at the freshest crib in LA.

The throwback went down a storm with the media, as the team secured stand out pieces of national coverage across the Independent, Daily Mirror, Metro, Evening Standard, Mail Online, Daily Star  and even a full page spread in The Sun – in print and as well as online.

Meantime, consumer coverage included the likes of Refinery29, ELLE, Joe and NME, while the announcement even found its way onto the likes of ITV1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and nationwide across Heart.

Now, in the words of the immortal tune … “yo, home, to Bel-Air”.
