Turns out January isn’t the only date in the calendar to launch a new vegan product, because we’ve just done it mid-year and scored some brilliant coverage in the process.
Yep, vegans up and down the country rejoiced as we announced that Greggs was launching its latest vegan bake last week, meaning they’d soon be able to get their hands on the meat-free version of the brand’s iconic Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt.
News spread quickly as word got out and the team scored some fantastic coverage across the board, with articles on the Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Mirror, Bustle, Huff Post and OK! Magazine … to name but a few.
The tastebuds of media and influencers were also treated as we sent out some beautifully aesthetic mailers to mark the occasion and officially introduce the new menu item. Not only that, but they helped boost our social mentions across the week as recipients joined in on the excitement and shared shots of the boxes across Instagram and Twitter.
The vegan friendly version is wrapped in layers of golden puff pastry, but instead of the classic filling, it’s loaded with delectable pieces of vegan sausage, grated original and mozzarella flavour vegan cheeZe, and of course tasty baked beans.
