The Airbnb team had a taste of the outdoors this week, all from the comfort of a beautiful Clerkenwell home – the โOutside Inโ House.
Airbnb and Pantone unveiled the stunning metamorphosis, transforming the house into an indoor oasis.
Promoting growth and vitality for the year ahead the house featured a woodland reception, an indoor greenhouse that doubled as a dining room, garden bedroom with mown lawn, topiaries and soporific plants, a tented cubby-hole for children to sleep in and a herb garden kitchen.
The aim of the house was to provide media and the general public alike with an antidote to January blues while communicating Pantoneโs new colour of the year GREENERY and giving UK and international media the first opportunity to experience an Airbnb Trips experience in the UK since the launch late last year.
We hosted the likes of The Financial Times, Time Out, The Sunday Times and the Daily Express to a media breakfast then journalists had their first taste of greenery inspired Trips with Country Living, Menโs Health, Health and Fitness, The Debrief and a host of influential Instagrammers joining the intimate sessions.
We captured the whole house with beautiful imagery and sold them in along with some research that found that 90% of Brits believe that an hour spent in a green space is as restorative as yoga, while two-thirds (67%) say walking through a forest is more calming than meditation.
Coverage rolled in from Daily Telegraphย (twice!), METRO, Evening Standard, Daily Mailย (to name but a few of the nationals), whilst lifestyle sites such as ELLE, Lookย and Helloย gave it a good showing.
We finished off the week with a picture and write up in the Evening Standard, 40 pieces of coverage and more yet to come.
