We’ve been busy revealing the listening habits of the nation in celebration of Sony’s NW-A105 Walkman.. with some surprising results!

To celebrate Sony’s NW-A105 Walkman, compatible with high resolution audio for crystal-clear sound – and to bring a little joy to the end of a long year – we carried out some consumer research into the nation’s listening habits, preferred music genres and favourite songs.

The story highlighted just how almost half of us admit listening to the same song on repeat, with no surprise that Pop tops the list as the most (pop)ular genre.

Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody also triumphed as the nation’s favourite song of all time – the song, released in 1975, is older than Sony’s WALKMAN range which originally launched in 1979.

The team secured some cracking national pieces across The Sun, The Scottish Sun and The Irish Sun. Along with a whole host of regional and consumer titles across the board including the likes of MSN, Female First, The List and across Q Radio outlets.

To boost the story even further the team is working with several influencers based all over the UK, encouraging them to share their own musical tastes with their audience, while promoting the Walkman. More posts to go live soon, stay tuned!
