If you’ve spent any time in east London recently, you might have seen a selection of fluffy Pokémon, cosplayed Pokémon Trainers, one giant Pikachu and a few of us running around chasing after one Pokémon or another.
We’ve been busy working with the Pokémon team to support their 2026 European Championships, lifting the lid on what it takes to become “the very best like no one ever was”.
As 17,000 fans descended on the ExCel Center, we hosted over 200 media and influencers from around the world over the course of four days. They were treated to exclusive trips through the Pokémon Center store, interviews with players, video game previews, meet & greets and influencer signings, and of course, plenty of photo opportunities with Pikachu.
All whilst following the weekend long tournament where over 7,000 players from 70 countries competed in video game, trading cards, GO and Pokémon UNITE to be crowned champion.
The dust has settled and east London has returned to its regular, Pokémon-free self and we’re now tracking over one-thousand pieces of influencer content, and more than three-hundred articles from global media.
It’s wall to wall national coverage, with some of the hits including Associated Press, Metro, 20Minutes France,Sky News Italy and Germany’s Heute.
