With the nation set for celebrations to mark the Coronation of King Charles III, we worked with IKEA to help people get into the spirit – releasing a Swedish twist on the classic creamy Coronation Chicken recipe using its iconic (chicken) meatballs.
Stirring up a storm, the simple 4-step recipe sees IKEA’s HUVUDROLL chicken meatballs coated in the famous creamy coronation sauce – first created in 1953 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation – to create a suitably royal dish that was perfect for the upcoming Bank Holiday celebrations.
A quick and simple press office story that combined IKEA’s infamous (chicken) meatballs with tapping into the national conversation, when we took our concoction to media, they truly lapped it up.
Landing over 190 pieces of coverage ahead of Coronation weekend, the story appeared on Daily Mirror, swiftly followed by standout pieces on the likes of Metro, Delicious Food and House Beautiful.
