It’s cracking to see one team landing some remarkable results for a client. But it’s even better when two teams come together to create a tide of coverage together.
So it was that our two Virgin Trains teams pulled together from the West Coast and East Coast to support one of the biggest train-tech launches of the year. BEAM will be available for all Virgin Trains travellers and runs via an on-board server, meaning there is no need to use on-board Wi-Fi or costly internet allowances. The service will provide over 200 hours of entertainment including films, TV, magazines and games for all ages.
We got the golden opportunity to unveil the complimentary service to the public and those who will be travelling on both the East Coast and West Coast routes.
First up, a straightforward announcement that the service was on its way and some deft media handling led to coverage pretty much everywhere as there were pieces across the nationals including The Guardian, Independent, Daily Mirror, The Times, Daily Mirror (again), Daily Mail, Evening Standard and ITV Online amongst many, many others,
Then, to make sure that anyone who hadn’t already read about the launch, we found ourselves back at London Euston Station to launch an INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE liveried-train, complete with Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth.
