The team has been knocking it out the park with all things Normal People over the last week … this one was a belter for Airbnb

Our work with Airbnb sees us get to jump on the back of all sorts of goings on. And where we’re not creating the conversation for the brand with “did you see?” moments as part of its A Night At … platform, we’re joining the conversation with stories that tap the cultural agenda.

And with everyone binge-watching the new hit TV series Normal People (and lusting over the blue-eyed Connell with his “Argos chic” chain – one for a different post …), there was no better time to land a wanderlust travel story focusing on the show.

After uncovering the fact that the location used for the stunning Italian villa where Marianne, Connell, Jamie and friends holiday in episode eight is actually an Airbnb listing named “Il Casale Tenuta Verzano,” we delighted in announcing this to media in a top bit of newsjacking.

Decked out with rustic interiors and a gorgeous pool, the villa offers the perfect holiday inspiration for a nation currently stuck in lockdown.

As expected, the story went down a treat with media, securing some stellar national pieces on Daily Mail, Independent, and The Sun.

Those came alongside a whole raft of consumer hits, with the likes of Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Tatler, Grazia, HELLO, and Insider, alongside a load of regional pieces. So far, we’ve racked up 120 pieces of coverage to date and counting.

We know where we’re heading once lockdown is over …
