Some of you may have seen the Sainsbury’s festive ad – featuring the discerning Alison Hammond as a Christmas Pudding-hating countess who is finally won over by the retailer’s twist on this item of festive fayre.
Well we brought the whole thing to life with the launch of Pud You Dare.
Based on the insight that Gen-Z has fallen out of love with the Christmas pud and a sense of duty to find new fans, we launched a pop-up offering the public the opportunity to try Sainsbury’s rather special take on the festive former-favourite. At Pud You Dare visitors could enjoy the original and new variation of the Christmas classic … for free.
Between the announcement of its impending arrival, a media and influencer launch party and its grand opening we landed a tonne of coverage across traditional and social media, with highlights including pieces across Evening Standard, Independent, The Sun, Daily Star, Daily Mirror and dozens of others besides.
All-in-all a massive success. Now roll on the Christmas dinner …
