The Royal Mint team has been at it again, landing coverage left right and centre with its latest coin collection launch … and its name? Bond. James Bond

We’ve been landing coverage all over the place for the latest Royal Mint collection.

This one came as 2020 will see the twenty fifth film in the 007 franchise hit screens.

The coin collection inspired by it features a number of Royal Mint firsts, including a whopping 7 kilogram gold coin with a face value of £7,000 – the highest denomination coin that has ever been produced in the Mint’s 1,100-year history.

So, that’s where we came in.

To give media a first look at the new Bond collection – including the 7 kilogram coin – we hosted an exclusive media event at Bond in Motion in the London Film Museum so they could come and capture their own content. And what a list of attendees the team secured! Media that came down included PA, Reuters, and even Sky News Arabia.

And then came the sell-in.

We landed an initial print exclusive with Evening Standard, and then the cov really began to roll in.

Incredible pieces across the nationals (print and online) including The Times, Daily Mirror, Metro, Daily Mail …the list goes on and on and on. W hugely impressive 25 national pieces secured all-told.

Thanks to the team’s work, we were inundated with over 450 pieces of UK coverage across national, consumer, broadcast and regional titles, as well as 777 pieces of coverage worldwide. Over 1,000 pieces in total … not a bad haul indeed.
