We brought back the always popular Sony Christmas Quiz for it’s fifth (and best) iteration

The nights are getting darker, the days are getting colder… it can mean only one thing, Christmas is (nearly) here.

Christmas is an important time for many of our clients but especially Sony – it is the ideal time for gifting, whether a new pair of headphones or a portable speaker, a new camera or the latest TV for all your Christmas viewing.

To mark the start of the festive season, the Sony team hosted their annual Christmas quiz. This is the fifth quiz the team have put on and it is becoming a staple in the calendar for media and influencers.

Guests are put through their paces with some tricky music related general knowledge questions in the quiz before taking part in an interactive round with some of Sony’s key Christmas products. Through combining the fun of a pub quiz along with trying out products in different situations – from apple bobbing with the latest waterproof headphones, to squat lifting a party speaker to designing a unique watch strap for the new FES U watch, attendees loved the highly competitive interactive rounds.

The event was a huge success, with media attendees from the likes of The Guardian, Metro, Mirror, the I, Vogue, FourFourTwo, Marie Claire, and Cosmopolitan attending, as well as a host of influencers including @Davidbirtwistle @rowanrow and @kate.ovens . A steady drumbeat of coverage has since appeared, with gift guide coverage appearing on Press Association and London Evening Standard (to name a few).

Not forgetting our Irish media, the team held their annual Christmas showcase in Dublin for the fourth year running, inviting Irish media and influencers to drop in to a city centre hotel all kitted out with the latest sound, AV and digital imaging products. The event was a huge success, with a whopping 46 media and influencers attending including The Irish Independent, The Irish Times, The Irish Sun, Irish Tatler, VIP Magazine, @IgersDublin and @justkassi.
