This week, to highlight the fantastic camera capabilities of the Xperia 5 II smartphone, we teamed up with travel experts, Lonely Planet, to curate a list of the top ‘off-the-beaten-track’ locations across the UK for some staycation inspiration – once lockdown measures have lifted, of course!
The list includes everything from Scotland’s Craigievar Castle which reportedly inspired Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle, to the sandy dunes of Holkham Beach.
Armed with an Xperia 5 II smartphone, photographers were sent out to capture stunning images of these travel hotspots to produce a stunning photo series, which the team sold in to media alongside research revealing how Brits typically choose where they will holiday to.
Despite a few timing setbacks (we’re looking at you, lockdown), we secured well over fifty pieces of national, regional and consumer coverage, with even more in the pipeline.
Highlights include hits on the Independent, Scottish Sun, and Amateur Photographer, with multiple brand mentions and key messaging around Xperia 5 II’s professional-quality triple lens camera, a Photography Pro feature and more.
