It seems that Game of Thrones hi-jacks have become something of a stock-in-trade around these parts of late … so here’s another one (this time from Airbnb)

We responded to the revelation that the cloaks in GoT are IKEA rugs and before that created a bakery with one of the show’s cult characters for Deliveroo.

So it was only natural that we’d pull off the hat trick.

When news broke that Rose Leslie’s childhood home (conveniently, a castle), was about to be listed on the site, we were fast out of the blocks.

A quick press announcement later and we were banging in some top class coverage not just in the UK for the news, but around the world.

Lifestyle titles including ELLE Magazine, Refinery 29, Marie Claire, PopSugar, Hello, Cosmopolitan, Evening Standard, Good Housekeeping, Conde Nast Traveller and then Mashable and the Daily Mail.

From there, the whole thing started to find its way around the world as the story was picked up in France, the US, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Australia. And it’s still travelling.

Not a bad little spot of news gen and great to get people talking about Airbnb again (after our triumphs of the past week or two here, here and here).
