For our latest digital foray, team Sony has been tasked with delivering all of the content for the brand’s photography enthusiast community website across copy, imagery and film

We’ve been continuing our journey in to the world of content creation over the last few months; this time helping Sony to launch their newest Europe-wide website: Alpha Universe.

Designed as a site for photography enthusiasts to learn from the very best – Sony’s Digital Imaging Ambassadors – the website first launched in July and since then we’ve been hard at work.

Each month we work as editors of the site – crafting the topics, choosing the ambassadors to highlight, handling all interviews and ensuring the end article is the perfect balance between informative, interesting, and – of course – lands the message for the Sony Alpha range.

The website was a huge success from the outset – gaining over 80,000 views in just the first month and just shy of 1.3 million page views since launch.

So successful was it that we were quickly brought on board to create video content alongside copy and imagery.

With a slightly different focus – how Sony kit is essential to helping our ambassadors stay on top of their game – each month we create a mini-documentary bringing the camera kit to life.

The first two films are now live, focusing on road cycling photographer Russ Ellis and MotoGP snapper Alejandro Ceresuela.

The first has had 421K views and over 100 shares since going live three weeks ago, whilst the latest has been live just a few days and already raked in an impressive 134K views.

Engagement with content continues to go from strength to strength, with Sony dubbing the website their “most successful launch in over ten years”. Long may it continue!
