Airbnb gives new meaning to the idea of “sleeping with the fishes” with its latest, submarine “A Night At …” stay

Airbnb swum into the media mainstream again this week, having unveiled the first ever underwater bedroom to be hosted on the site.

Not for the faint-hearted, this fully submerged room at the Aquarium de Paris offers 360 degree views of its night-time neighbours – 35 majestic sharks.

Three nights are on offer for three lucky winners and a friend, who will be hosted at the Aquarium by world record-breaking freediver and shark conservationist Fred Buyle, who will give them a guided tour of their home for the night.

The team secured a half page in the Daily Telegraph’s Business section for the story, as well as a piece in the Metro. The story cleaned up online too, sinking it’s jaws into Metro, Daily Mail, The Independent, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph, Refinery29, The Verge, Buzzfeed, Time and literally hundreds more…

If you fancy a night with the sharks, you can enter by visiting the listing page on the site.

And no, it wasn’t not an April Fool!
