Violinists, dubstep, Pokemon, YouTube … it’s all just another day on the internet

This just blew my tiny mind.

As Nerd Reactor sums it up …

Yes, a new Lindsey Stirling performance! This time she’s being featured in Kurt Hugo Schneider’s music video as they do the dubstep version of Pokemon. The video is being released to coincide with the upcoming release of Pokémon X & Pokémon Y for the Nintendo 3DS. Stirling is dressed up as Misty and Schneider is dressed up as Ash as they are on an adventure to find Pikachu, unfreeze an icy city and defeat Team Rocket. Gotta catch ‘em all!

For those who may be wondering, Lindsey Stirling (the bird with the violin and a former-America’s Got Talent quarter finalist) has form with this sort of thing (some might say is building a career on it). In the past, she has done weird violin performances for Star Wars, Skyrim and Game of Thrones.

It’s a really WEIRD world out there … and it makes the square root of sod all sense to me. But I like it …
