Meet Me Here … films worth a watch …

Meet Me Here is a series of films put together by Lucid. There latest is called simply “The Roper” and is, according to the blurb, “the true story of Kendrick, a young calf roper we met in Louisiana who dreams of one day making it to the Las Vegas rodeo finals”.

I’ve always loved companies that do their own self-initiated stuff and Lucid have a real track record of it with their Meet Me Here films …

Meet Me Here is an ongoing collection of short documentary films on People, Places and Things that intrigue us.

Sometimes we come across things along the way to doing something else.  But most of the time we go looking for the story, because we saw, heard, read or wondered about something and curiosity got the best of us.

For those who are interested, Lucid is a “Brand Story Studio”. Which I think is kinda fascinating.

First of all because I’ve never really thought that brands can be captured in diagrams, models and PowerPoint charts and are better captured in the stories they tell – and the ways that they tell them.

But also because Lucid creates content that tells brand stories in a host of ways – though primarily through film. And people who understand brands and understand story telling are going to be pretty important in the coming years.

Meantime, though, here are a couple more Meet Me Here films …
