An independent bookshop gets all animated when the lights are off …

Love, love, love this piece of work …



Created by an animation duo in Toronto, Canada, the film took around 20 nights to create while the bookstore in question (TYPE) was closed. So far, the film has got around 2 million views on YouTube. For an independent bookshop, that’s pretty good going.

It’s a great example of dedicated, creative people, doing something really simple yet really compelling. What a lovely, lovely piece of work.

PS. an interesting quirk to the story is that the project originally started when the animators who made the film above had an initial crack at something a trifle more manageable in scale … their own shelves. The follow-up, however, is an altogether different kettle of fish …
