Well blow us down if we haven’t gone and won our favourite mobile handset maker’s PR business in the UK

We’ve had a decent run in this industry since we opened our doors.

We’ve been fortunate enough to work with some stunning brands and brilliant people – like Meantime Brewing, Blurb.com, D&AD and Berry Bros. & Rudd (who came on board in our early days) and O2 (which was our first really huge account win) and then more recently people like Sony, Honda, Bupa, the Post Office, IKEA and Barclays.

The thing is that we are always stunned when we win. Blown away in fact. And we feel pretty humble to think that these amazing businesses chose to work with us, still a pretty young PR agency that has now found its feet for sure, but is still relatively young.

And it was that feeling of being slightly blown away when we took a call a week or so ago from the good folk at HTC to say that we were the successful agency to emerge from their pitch process (which has been a pretty extensive one, I can assure you).

Once we’d got over the initial shock (and initial is right, because the residual delighted sense of surprise will last for quite some time), we all looked at one another with surprise, then jumped up and down a bit, then jumped up and down some more, then fell off some seats.

And then we went to the pub.

We’re going to be doing their UK press office work, running some pretty cool UK brand campaigns, managing the UK elements of new handset launches and working with their global agency (who are unchanged) to deliver some cracking creative on the ground in our native media.

It’s going to be … brilliant. A massive team effort from across the agency that has once again made the two people (James and Jo), who started this little agency just under two years ago, incredibly proud.
