Yet more good news (well, there would be, it’s our first week) … We’ve just kicked off our work with the “comedy club for kids so good it got its own Channel 4 Show”. So it is that we are working with the lovely people at The School of Comedy.
The SoC story is a belting one. Two former-teachers, writers and stand-ups started a series of (now three and growing) after school clubs where kids could come and learn some decidedly adult comedy – their motto is that “kids should be obscene and not heard,” which just about sums it up.
Since those nascent beginnings, the School of Comedy has gone on to have a series of sell-out Edinburgh shows, two series on Channel 4 and E4 and have spawned a host of other projects.
We’re going to be helping them to continue the media coverageย roll as they embark on a major show at Hammersmith Riverside Studios, an Edinburgh run at the Pleasance and work on projects for a number of broadcasters. We’re also going to be taking them digital as we’re working with the founders to create a School of Comedy channel on the major video sharing networks …
Keep and eye out for Laura and Tara and their pint-sized performers in the press and on the airwaves as we’ve grand plans for them …
