We’ve been working with IKEA to announce London’s newest – and greatest – retail unveiling as the brand hits the high street for the first time in the capital

We’ve been working with IKEA for many moons now – we do love a long-standing client relationship. But this week we got to announce one of their biggest pieces of news to date.

We finally lifted the lid on the brand new store in Hammersmith. Yep, the nation’s favourite home furnishing brand will be coming to West London next month.

The IKEA Hammersmith store is a brand-new small store format, the first of its kind in the UK, and is going to bring all the products we know and love – including the iconic IKEA Meatballs – to the high street.

The highly-anticipated announcement was met with welcome news with over 100 pieces of coverage.

There were five national pieces right off the bat, including Daily Mail, Independent, Metro and two more pieces across the Evening Standard.

Other stand out pieces include ITV News and Time Out as well as broadcast, online news, regional, trade and social hits.

Given that we’ve only just started on our campaign to make the Hammersmith opening the most-talked about additional to the retail landscape, it’s been a pretty strong start.
