We’ve been on the case putting some welly behind IKEA’s latest Catalogue App (and it’s pretty special too) …
Sometimes your clients do something so good that all you really need to do is make it really famous.
So it has been with IKEA’s new mobile app which, with the magic of Augmented Reality, enables the brands customers to see what their furnishings will look like – to scale – in the comfort of their own homes. Pretty cool hey?
We’ve been having a happy couple of day’s doing what we love to do, tapping up some top quality media contacts across the lifestyle, trends, consumer tech and design media to score some cracking coverage.
There’ve been pieces in the Indy, METRO, The Times and the Sunday Telegraph to come. Then we’ve had HuffPo (both UK and US editions, naturally), Washington Post, CBS News, Handbag, Discovery, Forbes and MSN to deliver a spot of reach. In the trends arena, we’ve had a lovely piece from PSFK, another from FastCo and a lovely piece on TrendHunter.
On the design side, Dezeen, Selectism, DVICE, InHabitat, STUPIDOPE and a host of others have picked up on the story. And the tech boys (and girls, naturally) have been loving it too. PocketLint, Engadget, Gizmodo, Digital Spy, T3 … not so bad as it goes.
Besides those we’ve had lifeHacker, Clothes Horse, Stuff, DesignBoom, CNBC, The Verge and the list goes on …
Oh, and then there was this piece on Mashable. As pieces go it’s a) a lovely write-up and b) a cracking wee video report that uses the IKEA brand content and c) been shared 4,400 times to date. Which isn’t bad, is it?
