Airing as a seamless segway following the inimitable “Doof Doofs” and closing theme, the iconic EastEnders map saw the Thames burst its banks to bring the stark reality of climate change to viewers.

Voiced over by Sir David Attenborough and offers an incredibly bleak vision of the future to bring themes from the series’ final episode to life.

Zooming out to capture satellite imagery of the Arctic to highlight how the melting ice in the Earth’s frozen regions could one day affect us all far closer to home.
