At Hope&Glory we’re on a diversity journey and today we’re once again making our numbers public so we’re held to account: actions not words and all that

As some of our followers may know, we were first awarded the Blueprint Diversity Mark at the start of 2021, and retained the mark for a further two years this January.  It’s something that is incredibly important to us.

For those who may not have heard of the Blueprint, it’s a diversity mark set up to remove barriers and address inequality in the PR industry for Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority comms professionals.  As part of The Blueprint we signed up to 23 commitments, which help us on our journey to making the industry much more diverse. We are committed to transparency and accountability and publishing our diversity data.

From a gender perspective, we are 72% / 28% female / male across the team. 57% of the board are female and 65% of senior roles are held by women. Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority team members make up 17% of the team today, a small increase in the last 12 months, and 7% of our board. As important, we also have total gender and ethnic pay parity at every level.

There is still a lot to do – for us and the industry as a whole – so this isn’t in any way a celebration. But transparency and making our track record public is one step, so we’re creating a conversation and we’re holding ourselves to account.

While progress has been made, there is still more to do.
