In honour of International Women’s Day, we are once again closing our office for the afternoon of 6th March to raise awareness of the gender and ethnicity pay gaps.
While the median hourly pay gap for full-time employees in the UK has shown signs of narrowing, the latest ONS data reminds us that progress is a marathon, not a sprint. We know that more awareness, and more action, is needed to close that gap for good.
That’s why we’ve encouraged every team member to spend the afternoon engaging with feminist causes, history, and education. Whether it’s attending feminist book launches, visiting exhibitions dedicated to female trailblazers, or taking walking tours of female icons across the city, our team will be out across London seeking inspiration and challenging the status quo.
This marks our third year supporting the “Working For Change” initiative, originally started by our friends at Canela. We are proud to join them again to prove that advocacy doesn’t stop at a social media post – it requires dedicated time and collective effort.
