As some of our followers may know, we were awarded the Blueprint Diversity Mark at the start of 2021.
It’s an accolade which is tremendously important to us.
We very much recognise we’re on a diversity journey and today, as we did 12 months ago, we’re making our numbers public so we’re held to account.
For those who may not have heard of the Blueprint, it’s a diversity mark set up to remove barriers and address inequality in the PR industry for Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority comms professionals.
As part of The Blueprint we signed up to 23 commitments, which help us on our journey to making the industry much more diverse. We are committed to transparency and accountability and publishing our diversity data.
There is still a lot to do – for us and the industry as a whole – so this isn’t in any way a celebration or an achievement that we can feel self-satisfied about. But transparency and making our track record public is one step, so we’re creating a conversation and we’re holding ourselves to account.
From a gender perspective, we are 76% / 24% female / male across the team. 50% of the board are female and 63% of senior roles are held by women. Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority team members make up 13% of the team today, a small increase in 2021, and 10% of our board. As important, we also have no gender or ethnic pay gaps.
Some progress made. As always, more to make.
