Rather marvellous news as our awards roll continued this week with the announcement of The Drum Awards 2024 shortlists.
There’s a nom for our work with IKEA which saw us social newsjacking Balenciaga’s Towel Skirt, a campaign that caught the attention of the media and social media users alike and went somewhat wild. A cheeky social media post that generated hundreds of pieces of coverage and around 40 million impressions across Instagram, Tiktok and X.
There’s a second appearance on the awards shortlists for our work with Uber Eats. We worked with Brooklyn Beckham to open a pop-up restaurant on the platform. The coverage and talkability went absolutely wild.
Meantime, one of most-successful campaigns on this year’s shortlists is our work for Trainline, partnering them with Missing People to deliver alerts direct into the app. There’re lots of reasons why we’re really rather proud of it. Not least that we’d helped ten families reunite as a result of the campaign – so there was a very real social benefit of the work. It’s up for another one.
Finally, our work for the V&A – “If you’re into it, it’s in the V&A” – has also been shortlisted twice. We recruited a suite of special advisors on modern pop culture to the V&A including, infamously a Taylor Swift Advisor. The story went global, landed acres of coverage and, most importantly, brought more and younger people to see the museum’s permanent connection. There are two nods in the awards for that one. Fingers crossed we’re rewarded on the big night. Or big afternoon as is the case with these awards.
