HTC paints the town to launch new Champagne Gold version of its iconic HTC One handset
We wanted a quick and easy way of getting some cracking coverage to support the launch of the HTC One in Champagne Gold.
What better, we thought, than to bring a spot of Dick Whittington and pantomime to life for real by paving a street with gold?
So it was that we (the H&G team and the good folk of Helix3D) headed to Shad Thames to do just that – with a quarter mile stretch of London street turned into a riot of precious metal shades.
The handset launch itself also did pretty well, with over 50 pieces of coverage everywhere from T3 and Pocket-Lint to Engadget and Gizmodo to Mashable, the Independent, the Evening Standard and the Daily Mail.
